From the Art On The Way series, the collage is dedicated to the Danish town of Jelling. A stop on our trip through Denmark. The small town is home to prehistoric burial mounds and Viking rune stones. The sites have been a UNSECO cultural heritage site since 1994. According to history, this place is the cradle of Denmark.

The coloring is subtle. The elements of fire, earth, air and water underline the mysticism of ancient times and determine the mood of the collage. The stone staircase to the plateau of one of the two burial mounds forms the visual center. Including fragments of the German word 'Quelle' (EN: source). The founding stone of Denmark appears as a foundation in the daylight. The viewer experiences the efforts of the ancient Vikings in building the palisade fortress in Jelling at dawn. Another perspective is created when the collage is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. The material used comes largely from the displays in the museum and the surrounding sites in Jelling.
